Product detailed description

Serum for visible pores · Oily and combination skin

The pores on your nose and cheeks show through your makeup and your skin turns shiny soon into the day. Sungboon Editor Green Tomato Pore Lifting Ampoule+ is a lightweight gel serum that targets the look of enlarged pores. It combines niacinamide, a gentle PHA (gluconolactone), tomato fruit extract and film-forming ingredients that may optically smooth the skin. Unlike a standard hydrating serum, it focuses on how your pores and skin texture look.

Use it morning and evening after toner, before moisturiser. The formula contains alcohol (Alcohol Denat.) and fragrance, so at VIONE we recommend it mainly for oily and combination skin that generally tolerates fragranced skincare.

  • Type: serum (ampoule) targeting the look of enlarged pores, 30 ml, lightweight gel
  • Suitable for: oily and combination skin with visible pores and uneven texture
  • Key ingredients: niacinamide, gluconolactone (PHA), tomato fruit extract, hydrolysed collagen, hyaluronic acid
  • Fragranced · Serum step, morning and evening, always with SPF in the morning

Routine step

Cleanse Toner / essence Serum Moisturiser Eye care SPF Exfoliation Mask

Sungboon Editor Green Tomato Pore Lifting Ampoule+ is the Serum step: after toner, before moisturiser. Always finish with SPF in the morning.

Who the Sungboon Editor serum for enlarged pores is for

  • Your pores are most visible on your nose, chin and cheeks, and makeup settles into them during the day.
  • Your skin gets shiny quickly and looks uneven, even though you cleanse it regularly and gently.
  • You want one pore serum rather than several separate steps with acids.
  • You are looking for a lightweight gel that won't weigh oily skin down.
  • Fragrance and alcohol in the formula don't bother you, and your skin usually doesn't react to them.

When to choose something else: your skin is dry, very sensitive or currently irritated, you avoid fragrance or alcohol, you are looking for vegan skincare, or you are dealing with painful, inflamed breakouts. In that case, see a dermatologist first.

Texture, scent and skin feel

  • Lightweight gel: retailers describe it as fast-absorbing. If you dislike a tacky feel, apply a smaller amount and let the gel absorb.
  • Smoothing feel: film-forming ingredients and hydrolysed collagen leave a thin layer on the skin that may optically smooth the look of pores. Skin may look smoother immediately after application. This cosmetic effect may be temporary.
  • Fragrance: the ampoule is fragranced; the ingredient list includes Parfum.
  • Alcohol: Alcohol Denat. is listed among the ingredients. Its concentration and the overall formula's effect on a particular skin type cannot be reliably determined from the ingredient order alone.

Tip: a small amount is enough under makeup. Let the gel absorb before applying moisturiser and SPF.

Key ingredients: niacinamide, PHA and tomato extract

  • Niacinamide (vitamin B3): the best-researched ingredient in this formula. It may help pores look less noticeable and support the skin barrier. Read more in our glossary entry on niacinamide.
  • Gluconolactone (PHA): a polyhydroxy acid generally considered gentler than AHAs. It lightly loosens dead cells on the skin's surface, so take care when combining it with other exfoliating acids and retinoids. The brand does not state its concentration.
  • Tomato fruit extract (Solanum Lycopersicum Fruit Extract): the brand describes it as a patented green tomato extract. It is a conditioning ingredient whose effects when applied to the skin are still being studied.
  • Hydrolysed collagen and film-forming polymers: they form a thin film on the skin that may optically smooth pores and uneven texture. The effect is temporary.
  • Hydrating and conditioning ingredients: five forms of hyaluronic acid, trehalose, xylitol, panthenol, allantoin, dipotassium glycyrrhizate (from liquorice) and ceramide NP.
  • Plant extracts and moringa oil: including neem, turmeric and holy basil. They round out the formula as conditioning ingredients.

How to use Sungboon Editor Green Tomato Pore Lifting Ampoule+

  • 1. Cleanse: a gentle cleanser; in the evening, if you wear SPF or makeup, start with a cleansing oil.
  • 2. Toner: ideally a soothing or hydrating one, without exfoliating acids.
  • 3. Ampoule: apply a small amount to your face, avoiding the eye area, spread it out and pat it in gently.
  • 4. Moisturiser: a lightweight cream to keep your skin hydrated.
  • 5. SPF in the morning: as the last step. Daily sun protection belongs in every routine with exfoliating ingredients.
  • Getting started: introduce the serum gradually, once a day at first, and increase frequency as your skin allows. Don't use the ampoule on evenings when you use a retinoid, azelaic acid or kojic acid.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Sungboon Editor Green Tomato Pore Lifting Ampoule+

Will the ampoule shrink enlarged pores?

Pore size is mainly determined by genetics, age, oil production and sun exposure. No serum shrinks pores permanently. The ampoule may help them look less noticeable: niacinamide is one of the most studied ingredients for pores and oil, PHA gently loosens dead skin cells and the film-forming ingredients temporarily smooth the skin optically. "Pore lifting" in the name is the brand's marketing term, not a promise to tighten pores. The result varies with skin type.

Does the ampoule contain alcohol and fragrance?

Yes. According to the available European ingredient list, the ampoule contains Alcohol Denat., fragrance (Parfum) and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. Ingredient lists differ between distribution sources, so the packaging of the supplied product is the definitive reference. If your skin reacts to alcohol or fragrance, we recommend choosing a different serum. Otherwise, try the ampoule on a small area first.

How soon will I see a difference?

Skin may look smoother immediately after application. This cosmetic effect may be temporary. Changes in the look of pores and texture cannot be guaranteed within a specific timeframe: it depends on your skin type, oil production, regular cleansing and SPF, and on how your skin responds to the ampoule. If it suits you, use it regularly.

Is the ampoule suitable for sensitive or dry skin?

It is not a first choice. The ampoule contains alcohol, fragrance and a gentle PHA, so we recommend it mainly for oily and combination skin. If you have sensitive skin and still want to try it, start with a patch test and use it once a day at first. If your skin starts burning, becomes significantly red or begins to peel, stop using newly introduced products and return to a simple, well-tolerated routine. Consult a dermatologist if symptoms persist.

Can I combine the ampoule with retinal, azelaic acid or kojic acid?

Not in the same evening routine. The ampoule contains a PHA, so don't use it on the same evening as Arencia Retinal Booster Shot, Dr. Ceuracle Azelaic 10 & Madeca Ampoule or Sungboon Editor Kojic Acid Niacinamide Brightening Ampoule. The same applies to other retinoids and AHA/BHA acids. Alternate them on different evenings, or use this ampoule in the morning with SPF and the active serum in the evening. Introduce new products one at a time.

How is it different from Sungboon Editor Kojic Acid Niacinamide Brightening Ampoule?

Both ampoules are from the same brand and both contain niacinamide and a PHA (gluconolactone). Kojic Acid Niacinamide Brightening Ampoule targets the look of uneven skin tone, contains kojic acid and vitamin C, and is fragrance-free. Green Tomato Pore Lifting Ampoule+ targets the look of pores and texture and contains film-forming ingredients, alcohol and fragrance. If you want to use both, don't apply them on the same evening; alternate them instead.

Who is the ampoule not for, and when should I choose another product?

Skip the ampoule if your skin is dry, very sensitive or currently irritated, if you avoid fragrance or alcohol, or if you have a confirmed allergy to any fragrance ingredient. If you have painful, inflamed breakouts or a diagnosed skin condition, see a dermatologist first. If your skin mainly needs calm and hydration, choose a gentler serum from our barrier & sensitivity range.

Is the ampoule vegan?

We can't consider it vegan. It contains hydrolysed collagen, which is usually of animal origin, and the brand does not state its source.

Can I use the ampoule during pregnancy?

Based on its ingredient list, the ampoule contains no retinoids, and the brand gives no information on pregnancy. Even so, we recommend discussing any new skincare with your doctor during pregnancy and breastfeeding and showing them the ingredient list below.

What to pair the Sungboon Editor Green Tomato ampoule with

Practical tip: a pore routine doesn't need to be long. Gentle cleansing, toner, the ampoule, a light moisturiser and SPF in the morning are the foundation. Only add other active serums once you know how your skin responds to the ampoule.

What the brand says

The brand describes the ampoule as care for two types of visible pores: pores made more noticeable by oil and pores that look more prominent as skin loses elasticity. It describes the green tomato extract as patented but does not state the patent number or concentration. According to retailers, the ampoule is intended for morning and evening use. The brand does not publish test results. Check the packaging for the period after opening. These claims are the brand's own statements. Individual tolerance may vary.

Korean ingredient-led ampoules · pores, tone, glow, firmness

Sungboon Editor: Korean skincare built around specific ingredients

Sungboon Editor is a Korean brand of face ampoules. Its name comes from the Korean word “sungboon” (성분), meaning ingredients. The concept follows the name: each ampoule is built on one or two key ingredients and aims at one specific goal. One of the brand’s notable products is the Green Tomato Pore Lifting Ampoule+.

Not sure which ampoule to choose? Start with what bothers you most about your skin. With Sungboon Editor, the answer is right in the product name.

Why we chose Sungboon Editor

We picked four ampoules, each with a clear role in a routine. That way you do not have to build a many-step routine: one ampoule between toner and moisturiser is enough, depending on what you are working on.

Which Sungboon Editor ampoule to choose

The Kojic Acid and Green Tomato ampoules contain a PHA. Do not use them in the same evening routine with each other or with retinal, for example Arencia Retinal Booster Shot. Alternate them on different evenings.

Sungboon Editor: frequently asked questions

Is Sungboon Editor a Korean brand?

Yes. Sungboon Editor is a Korean brand whose name comes from the Korean word for ingredients (성분, sungboon). It focuses on ampoules that target a specific skin concern.

Which Sungboon Editor ampoule should I start with?

Choose by your main concern: Green Tomato for enlarged pores, Kojic Acid Niacinamide for dull, uneven tone, PDRN Pink Vitamin Glow for skin lacking radiance, and Silk Peptide EGF for skin losing its bounce. We recommend starting with one ampoule.

Can I combine two Sungboon Editor ampoules?

Yes, but using two ampoules at once is not necessary. We recommend starting with one based on your main skin concern. Green Tomato and Kojic Acid contain exfoliating PHA, so it is sensible to avoid layering them in the same routine, especially if your skin is sensitive. Avoid introducing other strong actives at the same time and adjust frequency to your skin’s tolerance.

Is kojic acid allowed in cosmetics?

Yes. EU Regulation 2024/996 restricts kojic acid used as a skin-lightening ingredient to a maximum of 1% in face and hand products. This regulatory limit does not, by itself, confirm the concentration in the Sungboon Editor ampoule. When using an ampoule with kojic acid, protect your skin with SPF in the morning.
